Ivy Chen - Beach House Boudoir

Ok, so I don't know about everyone else, but for me, one of the hardest parts of shooting boudoir, especially on a budget for updating my portfolio, is finding a really beautiful place that I haven't shot in yet, that is also private.  So when my fellow photographer asked me to house sit her beach house on West Seattle and said I could use it for a couple shoots as well, I instantly jumped on the opportunity.  I'd been over quite a few times and had already been dying to shoot there. Cute little private beach house that is literally 10 feet from the beach.  I couldn't think of a more perfect boudoir spot.  Well.... Ok, maybe more sun and water that doesn't require a dry-suit.  But you get the idea.

So this is the first of three shoots I got to shoot here.  I saw Ivy Chen's previous work and knew she would be perfect for the spot and the cozy feeling boudoir shots that I had in mind.

And seriously, she did absolutely amazing.  It normally takes me about 2 times to go through and narrow down to the photos I want to edit and post.  It took me at least 6 rounds of going through the pictures to narrow them down.  Which is a good problem to have. I'm not complaining.

More boudoir to come in the future.  Of course, not all of it will be posted, as much of boudoir is not meant to be shared with anyone besides their significant other, if anyone at all.  Many do it as something just for themselves.  It is out of many people's comfort zone initially, but everyone I have shot has been glad they did it!
